PERRIER NOMINEE: BEST NEWCOMER 2003

23 year-old Alex Horne is a diverse stand up comedian, actor and comedy writer.  From the moment he steps on stage he fuses a stream of surreal stories and one liners making inventive use of the audience too.

He delights his audiences with his fractured style and twisted logic, which resembles other forms of surreal stand-up currently in vogue. The thing is - and unlike many others - Horne has mastered it. He has honed his unique style combining interactive comedy and highly complex but ultimately multi-groovy super top-notch puns.

Since launching himself on the comedy circuit 2 years ago Alex has performed in comedy venues across the country. Within his first year of performing he won a place in the final of  'So You Think You're Funny?' in Edinburgh.

Alex is currently performing up and down the country at Universities, Comedy Clubs and Corporate events. As well as working as a comedy writer for Craig Charles, Alex will featured in a new BBC comedy show ‘Brain Candy' (Baby Cow Productions).

From October 2002 Alex embarked on a 40 date national tour as the support for 'Red Dwarf'' star and presenter of 'Scrapheap Challenge' Robert Llewellyn.

Alex will soon be appearing at the prestigious Soho Theatre for a run of 4 Nights with his Perrier nominated, sell out, solo Edinburgh show ‘ Making Fish Laugh’
